To start scheduling, parents and sitters must first be connected in a pool.

For Parents: Add a Babysitter to Your Pool

Each sitter has a pool link they can share with families they work with.

Ask your sitter for their BabyPool link and join their pool. Once you join, you’ll be connected and able to schedule with them.

Step 2: View Availability

After joining a sitter’s pool, you will be able to see:

  • Their available times
  • Their schedule blocks
  • When they are already booked

This removes the need to text back and forth asking if someone is free.

Step 3: Send a Booking Request

When you need childcare:

  1. Select the sitter
  2. Choose the date and time
  3. Send a booking request

The sitter can then accept or decline the request, and the booking will appear on both calendars.

For Babysitters: Set Up Your Pool

Sitters create the pool and invite parents to join.

Step 1: Set Your Timezone

First, set your timezone so booking times display correctly for parents.

Step 2: Set Your Availability

Next, define when you are available to babysit.

You can set:

  • Morning availability
  • Afternoon availability
  • Evening availability
  • Recurring weekly availability

Parents in your pool will be able to see these times when they send booking requests.

Step 3: Share Your Pool Link With Parents

BabyPool provides each sitter with a pool link.

Send this link to families you babysit for. For example:

When parents join using your link, they will be added to your pool and can start requesting bookings.
